Life Group recap from August 7th 2011

We had another great lifegroup yesterday with food, fellowship and a campfire at the Jaspers new home in Svensen!

Things we discussed:

Our normal time to meet will be 4 pm on the first Sunday of each month, unless otherwise noted.

Daniel Jasper will lead the men in prayer requests- so men, if you have a need reach out to Daniel.

Cassie Russell will lead the woman in prayer requests- so woman, if you have a need reach out to Cassie.

Sometime in the next few wks. Christa will be teaching Cassie and Alexis how to run the espresso machine.

Jim Jackson will continue his ministry of picking up the older ladies who need rides to church.

Michelle Finn will take notes at the lifegroup and create and update the blog.

During our first week to cover the responsibilities in the church (exact week TBD) it will be set up as follows:

Daniel, Chris, and Kenny will be ushering while Nate will be an alternate.

April will do coffee on Sunday morning and Thursday

Cassie and Alexis will cover the nursery on Sunday morning.

Michelle and Christa will cover nursery on Thursday evening with Billie Jackson and a teen covering for the first 20 mins. while Michelle and Christa do the music ministry.

All the ladies in the group will work together on planning meals for the lifegroup night.

Current prayer requests:

Alexis' neighbor has terminal cancer and has stopped chemo and is waiting for the cancer to take it's course, Alexis would like prayer for her neighbor Marie as this is the third time she has fought cancer and she no longer want to continue with treatment.

Russell Adams who lives in the Sr. Community with Jim and Billie Jackson is fighting prostate cancer and hospice has come in to start taking care of him. Jim would like prayer for Russ.

Nathan's Dad has a form of blood cancer and they are waiting on a blood marrow match. Please pray for Nathan's Dad.

Cont'd prayer for Christy Miethe, she is a young mother of two children and she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We are also trying to think of things we can do for her and her family to show her Gods love during this time.
